Britain's full-fibre rollout, after a decade of theatrical underperformance, is finally close to done. Openreach passed 24 million homes in January. CityFibre, Hyperoptic, Community Fibre and a flock of altnets between them cover most of the remainder.
For consumers, the practical question is no longer 'can I get fibre?' but 'which fibre is worth paying for?'
